Family and hurt

So I read http://tararachelganguly.blogspot.com/
AND Whoa Feel so much better about my life. I mean sure my dating life wound up retarded. But I got a really good family that supports me and puts me through school. I realize that I really have an excellent life. My mom and dad are both educated with Master's degrees. We live in a quite neighborhood with decent people on all sides. No one in my family is an alcoholic. But I do have like one cousin who has drug issues. My family is not nearly as screwed up as other peoples. But, this got me thinking. Why is it that people misuse their family? I mean in the end... Isn't family all you got? So why would we attack something that is so vital? In the words of a man I once knew "It's because your close to each other. You can let out those ugly emotions,"
He said something like that. But, then again, I realize that I am a believer in the best of people. But I have to face the reality that there are people out there who are simply ugly. Horrible, disgusting, arm-twisting betrayers who will use you and will continue to until you either break of smarten up.
So now I think to myself: Why is it that people hurt other people?

We all know about the bullying system. Usually its because the bully is trying to feel better about themselves. Granted there are people out there who are just sociopaths or are psychotic or are just plan narcissists.  But apart from that people who hurt other people are generally hurt or angry about something. And USUALLY that is created by yet another person. So hurt is pretty much created by a chain of people being hurt. HOW do we stop this? Love. Sounds corny, I know. But that Jesus fellow is right "that ye love one another," (somewhere in bible). I hear countless stories about someone who is hurt or does something insane because they were. And often times... it only takes one person. Like Majora's Mask man. Seriously that Link Kid changed the lives of so many people and he is only one kid. OK fine he has a magic ocarina that can rewind time... But that doesnt mean that we cannot make a difference. Because little things do make a difference.

However, it does require us to make an effort. "The smallest act of kindness is greater than the biggest intent."- Ashton.
Kindness requires us to go out of our way. Generally speaking. But once you get he hang of it, the practice becomes natural. So where Am I going with this?
Well people gain self-esteem from being loved essentially. People would be a lot better off if someone would give them that. But the thing is, you never know who is suffering. Because especially in the US, being sad or having and form of negative emotion seems to label you as "weak". When in reality, you are just human. You are going to hurt and feel pain at some point. I think people forget that it is seriously OK to feel sadness or pain. It is OK to cry and weep. To mourn and to feel anger. But do not let it control you. THIS is where the love comes into Key. PEOPLE need other PEOPLE. Otherwise people turn to things like drugs and alcohol and they suck other people into it making a black hole of  non-success.  Ever notice that? Realize that you cannot change people. ONLY a person can choose to change himself or herself for that matter. I believe in the best of humans. So I invite you to show that. Be the best kind of human being. Extend some self-less love.

No Seriously. I mean I know my posts are corn-tastic . But get real. Can you live without love? Think about the people that care about you and carry you when you are down. Think about everyone that is important to you. Take away the connection. Take away the love. What is life? Empty. Please do not let people go through life empty. It is too painful.

Oh and be good to your family. Apologize, make amends and forgive,

Ldsplanet

So I joined a Mormon dating site...man being a member is hard sometimes... seeing people that are attractive(meaning non-members that are all around us) but knowing you cant really be with them. Not without risking practically everything thats important in the LDS religion and culture. I wish that my horizon would be brighter but I am not so sure. Though, a few cuties have shown up on lds.org hehehe
only problem with the site is that its not free... they should just advertise and have that pay for things.
Anyway my dark days are almost over.

Oftentimes we say goodbye to the person we love without wanting to. Though that doesn’t mean that we've stopped loving them or we've stopped to care. Sometimes goodbye is a painful way to say I love you.

You taught me how to love; you taught me how to live; you taught me how to laugh; you taught me how to cry, but when you left, you forgot to teach me how to forget you.

Real tears are not those that fall from the eyes and cover the face, but those that fall from the heart and cover the soul.
